Who is responsible for your data

What we hold, and where it comes from

When you correspond with someone at an rhda.net address, or send the contact form on this site, we hold your name, your email address, the company or website you represent, and the content of that correspondence. Where a member of our team writes to you first, your business contact details come from sources that are public by design — a website's contact or “write for us” page, WHOIS records, a professional profile.

Why we process it

Correspondence with clients, partners and publishers is business-to-business communication and rests on our legitimate interest under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Where we go on to work together, the processing needed to run that arrangement rests on Article 6(1)(b). We send no consumer marketing, and we do not sell or rent contact data.

How long we keep it

If we never work together, your details are deleted no later than 12 months after our last message. If we do, they are kept for the length of the relationship plus five years, as accounting and tax rules require. An address that asks us to stop writing stays on a suppression list, solely so that nobody at our company contacts it again.

Who else sees it

Our email provider, the provider that processes the form on this site, and our accounting software, each acting only on our instructions. Some of these providers operate outside the UAE and the EEA; in that case we rely on the standard contractual safeguards they offer.

What you can ask us to do

You may ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to the processing, or tell us to stop writing to you. Reply to any message you received from an rhda.net address, or use the contact form on this site — we act within 3 business days. If you are in the EEA or the UK, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
